* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Bergen and Passaic and southeast New York, including the following counties, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 559 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New City, Newburgh, Middletown, West Milford, Ossining, Peekskill, Monsey, Nanuet, Ringwood, Haverstraw, Mount Kisco, Suffern, Port Jervis, Mahopac, Monroe, Lake Carmel, Walden, Nyack, West Point and Warwick. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
